TWITHAY SAYS: Energy in all it's forms is essential to modern living. So, the rising costs of fuel have to be stemmed, or even reductions implemented. When has that ever happened? Raised prices seem to stay that way. Any ideas of how to fix this global issue? How about, no business is allowed to keep more than, say 10%, of their profits? The rest goes into a fund, (sounds like a tax), which is shared amongst all workers earning less than a certain amount.

Despite the fact that natural gas is dearer now than it was two years ago, it's currently cheaper than it was in November of last year - before Putin launched his war of choice. The price of natural gas is also 40% cheaper now (as winter aproaches) than it was on22nd August (in the midst of a heat-wave). The media were freaking-out about all this in September (as the regulators revised up the energy bill price caps), but there's plenty of scope to reduce them - or there should be in good time.
Meanwhile,Putin's dream of Europe freezing this winter, looks unlikely to be realised, since reserves in most European states (including Germany) are at 90% capacity. How come the media aren't interested in putting us in the picture in this regard? Similary, they couldn't wait to tell us when the pound sterling was worth $1.03. Now that it's back up to $1.16, not a dicky-bird was heard.
