With a couple of free days why not take a trip to Blackpool and see the Illuminations? First find accommodation but where? North Pier, Central Pier or South Pier area? Initial choice, having never been to Blackpool before and no idea of distances to attractions, I decided that South Pier was for me and made a booking. However, after further research changed my mind to North Pier. Why? Well, it appeared closer to the Tower and my selection offered free parking included in price. After travelling for 5 hours on the motorway the last thing I wanted was to wonder around looking for a place to park near my accommodation.
I chose Dewsbury House in Cocker Street which had a small studio, No 1, available at £60 per night and had safe parking literally outside the studio window.
Don't be put off by the scaffolding it was temporary and needed to fix a leaking roof.
Well appointed room, comfortable bed and every accessory you could wish for.
Microwave, Hob, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, large fridge and freezer, ironing board, iron, fan, hairdryer, large bottle of water, milk, pots/pans and utensils as well as heating and TV. So much provided all encased in well decorated and clean room. Excellent standard.
Private facilities were very good given the limited space and were immaculately clean.
If you need more room then I would recommend reserving the larger room option.

We arrived ahead of the 4pm check in and were greeted by the very friendly host, Elaine. She guided us to a parking slot and showed us our room that was already prepared.
The location was ideal for us. A short walk to the North Pier and Tower.
Thank you for our enjoyable stay which we unreservedly recommend to those requiring the same provisions as us.
