Bay of Lights - Illumination Trail - Torquay

Walked the section through Torre Abbey grounds and onto Torquay Harbour tonight.

Luckily the weather remained dry and it wasn't too cold. Perhaps having seen the Blackpool Illuminations this year my expectations were high. Perhaps too high.

However, it was a good effort that would have been improved by more stand alone features joined together to form a continuous amazing show. That may be beyond the budget for this year but something to consider when energy costs fall. If ever!

Apart from the normal food outlets along the promenade there wasn't much to tempt the taste buds. I suppose this reflected the low key emphasis but it certainly made for a cheap family night out. Maybe there had been more traders at another time.

What great potential there is along this seafront.
