Some years ago I was living in the Far East and a large hornet type flying attack insect was pestering our children, so I took a swipe at it. Great shot I thought as it hurtled away through space only to see an impact mark on my forearm. In the next few minutes my wrist began to swell until after about 20 minutes my whole arm looked like one of Popeye's. The pain was intense. Quick administration of antihistamine etc helped and I survived. Obviously!
