I would be happier if the Government, whichever Party, made it a priority for our country to become self-sufficient for energy, water, food and technology. Then we could not be held to ransom in the future.
I believe our Government should emulate big business empires, they have the funds, and purchase, sizeable numbers of shares in profit making concerns. They could then feed the revenue earned back into the countries non-profit making health and welfare provisions.
I suspect other countries, China for example, and the Arab States are buying up the world's resources with the aim of controlling them and, therefore, achieving world domination. 21st century colonialism!
