A major priority towards enabling foreign nationals to successfully function in British society must surely be the acquisition of the English language.
Wales is going the other way. Their Government is introducing a new law to help all pupils in Wales be confident speakers of Welsh by 2050. One way of keeping asylum seekers out of Wales. Oh, and the English too of course. Progressive idea, create a country where the inhabitants can exclude outsiders socially and economically through a "secret" language. This is promoting positive segregation not integration?
