The Two Best Americans?

I find it impossible to believe that out of 381,059,550 inhabitants of the USA (Estimate Wednesday 3rd July 2024) that Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the two best candidates to lead that country! From news reports, one appears to be rather frail through age and the other has been on trial and protests his innocence. No conclusions are given here other than surely there are better candidates for President?
