Activities are available. Some at an extra cost and needing prebooking while others are free and randomly accessed.
We were warned by previous clients that Archery and Shooting, for example, are very popular and always seem full. Talking to one couple they confirmed this. They had been there for a week and couldn't do either activity even when trying to book on the first day of their holiday.
On the other hand we used the indoor heated swimming pool at our convenience. Others available are Lawn Bowls, Crochet and Putting. So, tip, book activities when making your reservation.
First Night Curries.
We chose our dining times, 1945hrs, when booking the holiday. We like to have a drink before dinner which proved to be a mistake. There was a good variety of curries but they were only lukewarm having been prepared earlier.
We had the option to order a dish freshly prepared in the kitchen and this is what we should have done. You'll get a hot meal this way and furthermore you can still pick from the buffet as well.
Roast Beef was absolutely brilliant. Very tender and moist. We'll done chef.
Steam Buns not so good as the casings were a bit thick and the eggs of the Eggs Benedict for breakfast were not runny.
Looked good but hard yokes
Full English available as well as cereals and fruit.
If you like soft bacon get to early breakfast or dig under the top layers to find it. Otherwise you'll get well done back bacon from under the heat lamp. Something for everyone if you look hard enough.
All the staff were excellent and in the dining room our waiter for table 18 was in line with that assessment.
I would say the quality of food at Warners is of a good standard without being outstanding. What do you expect? A Michelin starred restaurant? Not at these prices.
Next, Entertainment.
