Road Works Preston Down Road

Traffic lights on the road until 18th November. Lots of large yellow plastic pipelines being laid. Anything to do with to housing development in this area?

Other areas in the Bay are being considered for housing development. The Council is, again, encouraging residents to take part in the consultation process by viewing their plans online. Sounds familiar.

When the decision was pending to agree that 101 houses could be built near the top end of Preston Down Road a pamphlet campaign was implemented. Volunteers trekked from door-to-door delivering relevant information about the project. The recipients were people who would be directly affected by the scheme. At least this segment of the consultation was accessible to all in the area, not just those who had the time, inclination and hardware to search for information.
