Russia has been accused of blowing up their gas pipelines under the sea to Europe as part of their war against the Ukraine.
I don't believe pictures in the press lie, but I have watched the series Capture on TV so anything seems possible. However, unless a pod of whales are continually passing wind on a huge scale as they swim above the pipelines, my guess is that there have been underwater explosions resulting in gas leaks.
